Blessed Are Those Who Have Not Seen

Thomas believed in the resurrection after beholding his risen Lord. Jesus said to him, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” (John 20:28). Today, R.C. Sproul explains that this benediction belongs to us.
Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. But let Me tell you something: blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.” If you’re a Christian, you’re included in that benediction.
I believe—and I’ve been a Christian for over fifty years. And in that time, I’ve read an awful lot about Jesus. I’ve studied an awful lot about Jesus. I’ve read a lot of the Bible in that time. I’ve never seen Him, not once. I’ve never heard His voice audibly. I’ve never had the experience of the fragrance and aroma of the sweetness of who He is, nor have I ever touched the wounds in His hands or in His side. And so, I am blessed and so are you if indeed, having not seen Him, you believe.
