James tells us that religion which is pure and undefiled before God includes the visiting of orphans and widows in their affliction. Yet, attempts to care for the physical needs of people has often been seen as something opposed to a biblical focus on God. This message will seek to explain why the two are not opposed, but inextricably bound together.
