The First Great Awakening occurred from 1739 to 1745. This period of revival, repentance, and growth in early American history was marked by the earnest preaching of God’s Word and calling the church to return to confessional affirmation. In this lesson, Dr. Nichols explains the pendulum swings toward extreme positions during the First Great Awakening and describes God’s work through the champions of the awakening.
