Second Great Awakening

After the Revolutionary War and the beginnings of a new nation, the Second Great Awakening transpired throughout the early 1800s. The Second Great Awakening occurred at a time when the American people and church were distracted by the things of this world and influenced by various philosophies. In this lesson, Dr. Nichols explains the emphases of this awakening in contrast to the First Great Awakening.
